well my wife asked me loint blank..."do you wanna be a witness anymore?
" and i told her no.. .
we then went into 1914 and shunning and 1975 and she said sheswondered many times about it.. anyways she said "so what do we do now?
Awesome! How exciting! Besty has a good thread on he and his wife getting out. I'm so happy for you! Start planning the rest of your life.

i remember my dear old dad (r.i.p) saying that when he had questions he waited on jehovah(tm) and got the answer later.. for the life of me i can't recall this ever happening to me......... honestly, can anyone actually recall a question that the wbt$ jehovah(tm) cleared up for you?.
That phrase has bothered me for awhile, even before learning TTATT. Used in regards to child molestation, spousal abuse, rape, it's just so absurd and impractical. It holds people back from getting needed therapy, marriage counseling, further education etc. It fosters a mindset that encourages thought stopping techniques. Grrr.
So glad my daughter and I are out and not "waiting on Jehovah", or anything else to pursue the rest if our lives :)
hello everyone it's nice to finally be able to post i had trouble getting emails last month and was never able to sign up.

Welcome, keep reading, questioning and learning. Hope your wife is open to thinking, too.

7 years ago i started on a path i had long ago given up on as impossible.
i met with my elders and told them i could not justify carrying on as a jw.
i went and got my high school qualifications and my higher education diploma (a levels with distinction) in just 12 months.
Congratulations!!!
hello my fellow "apostates".
just wanted to say hi.
i'm still in the borg but mentally out.
Welcome! I wish you success on coming off the pioneer list soon and using your time in more fulfilling ways :)
four years ago i was still in the org.
completly enjoying an extended coffee break when an elderly (80+) brother coyly remarked with a half smile on his face and holding up his third cup as if to salute his revelation "these sure are critical times hard to deal with.
i nervously laughed along and then quickly changed the subject as a dutiful elder should.
Marked. I like this for a Facebook share for those of us who still have JW's on our page that bemoan how awful "this system" is getting day by day.
i visited this site about 2 years after leaving?.
when did you first visit jwn?.
paul.
Once I knew it wasn't "the truth".
Carpe Diem!
had a little family study at the dinner table with my 10 & 12 year old sons.
we discussed control tactics that some people use upon others.
we specifically used the b i t e model.

i have been curious as to when she would publicly state why she left.
i see this as a great topic and facebook share for those with active jw's on their pages.
